Founded by stunt performer and entrepreneur Kaila Imada, Kaiyo Ventures brings together emerging engineers from UC Berkeley, the University of Washington, and Cal Poly Pomona, guided by the mentorship of a Silicon Valley tech veteran with more than 20 years of experience.
Kaiyo Ventures has been shaped through the USC Marshall Summer Incubator, as well as the USC Marshall Pitch Competition where What’sYour20 received a Concept Prize among the 200 companies competing. The experiences, guidance, and funding have helped refine our vision, strengthen our business strategy, and accelerate the platform’s development.
At the same time, we continue to build What’sYour20 alongside the entertainment community. Through partnerships with organizations such as NAME and the AAPI Summit, we gather ongoing feedback from creatives and community leaders to ensure the platform reflects the real needs of the people it serves.
